Taking your idea online is a wonderful task. It is exciting, invigorating and sorta scary. But who said you had the right to keep your skill, service or new idea to yourself? There are people out there in the world, who you could help, so what's stopping you?
If you don't know where to begin...then this is a great article for you. I explain three concepts that are very important to taking your business or idea online...
1. Don't just get a website...use social media.
This sounds like a no brainer...but really, I want you to see that there are a handful of social media outlets, and technology resources that you will either choose to incorporate...or not. But you must know about them.
a. Blogging. Blogging is easy to start, but must have a strategy in order to have sustainability. Pick a theme and stick to it. Keep it in line with your big idea or business.
b. Vlogging. Vlogging is essentially video-blogging. So this means you will be interacting via video, not text. The same rules apply here, folks...keep it on topic. And you will get repeat visitors.

c. Podcasting. Podcasting is yet another medium you can use to connect with your people. Podcasting is something one would listen to, as opposed to read or watch and listen to. Yep...you guessed it...same rules here as well.
d. Facebook. Facebook is a fabulous and free way to connect with your demographic or target market. Facebook is a place for you to describe your business, build relationships and keep up to speed with your clients.
e. Twitter. Twitter should be used as a supplement to any or all of these other tools...not the sole source of your connection.
2. Go online with something you love or are really really good at.
Obviously, if you are looking to make some extra cash...or begin the process to make your online business the sole source of your income, you don't want to hate it! That's what your day job is there for. Hate that. Love your online biz. Okay, it is possible to love them both.
3. Trust the process.
If you are new to this, and can't tell a widget from a plug-in...then I suggest you find someone who is already doing this and read their blog. Also, find out how they learned...and then ask them for help. Sign up for a free call, free webinar or download their free report...and then take it from there. If you like what you see, sign up for a coaching program. Chances are they will be able to assist you in creating some passive income...and who doesn't love that?

Now that you have the idea...and a general idea of what to do with it...what's stopping you?
